Biography of Daniel Weil

 

Daniel Weil is a senior vice president with Alliant (formerly Mesirow Insurance Services) responsible for business development and oversight of client service. He specializes in designing and implementing property and casualty risk management programs for middle market and large national accounts in a variety of industries encompassing the real estate, manufacturing/distribution, retail, service and non-profit sectors.

 

Dan also has extensive experience with clients in the hedge fund industry, including hedge funds, fund managers and other service providers (administrators, accountants, attorneys) that serve the hedge fund industry with a focus on professional liability and management liability needs. Dan began in the insurance industry in 1988 and joined Mesirow Financial in 1990.

 

Prior to joining Alliant/Mesirow, Dan worked as an insurance executive with Boockford & Company and in sales with Edward Don & Company. He currently serves as a member and Governance Committee Chair of the ESC Board of Directors, the national board of the American Liver Foundation and is a past president of the Great Lakes Division of the American Liver Foundation. In addition, he serves on several industry specific charitable organization committees including Hedge Fund Cares Midwest. Dan earned his bachelor’s degree in communications at the University of Missouri and holds a producer license in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Tennessee.
