Biography of Dr. Brian Horwood, Ph.D.

Dr. Brian Horwood had a 34-year career with BP/Amoco, serving in a variety of positions until retiring as Technology Manager.  During his career, he gained expertise in marketing, product development, customer support, human resources, strategic and organizational planning.

​

Some of Brian’s ESC clients include Sarah's Circle, The Chicago Opera Theater, First Tee of Greater Chicago, SouthStar Services, Erie Elementary Charter School, and the Chicago Public Schools – New Schools Development Office. He has completed ESC training in Consulting, Strategic Planning, Board Development, Coaching, Total Assessment, Tech Tools, Engagement Management, and Advanced Consulting. Brian is a member of ESC's Strategic Planning Steering Committee.

Brian has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Birmingham University in England and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

​

Outside of ESC, Brian served as the President of the Illinois Squash Racquets Association and has also held the position of Vice-Commodore of the Columbia Yacht Club.
