Biography of John Kroening
John Kroening brings extensive management and marketing experience with Campbell Mithun Esty Advertising Agency to his Executive Service Corp clients. As Senior Vice President, he handled the Kroger account with eleven marketing areas located throughout the Midwest and South for the nation’s number one supermarket retailer.
John also found time to serve actively as a board member and fundraiser for several nonprofit organizations. On the Community Renewal Society, John was a member of the board for nine years, the maximum permitted in the Bylaws, and continues to serve on the Development and Membership committees. Other board activities include Kiwanis and St. Paul’s House and Health Care Center. Active in the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Naperville, John held the positions of the moderator, chairman of the Trustees, the Deacons, and the Christian Education boards.
He is now leading the implementation of a strategic plan for HOPE, a new church starting in south Naperville. John’s work with ESC clients is founded not only on his management and marketing career experience but also his nonprofit governance experience. John specializes in consulting in marketing, board development, strategic planning and focus groups.
Active in many ESC projects, John has played a major role in assignments for the Chicago Crime Commission, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Respite House, the Village of Addison, the West Chicago Public Library, Naperville Humane Society, the Chicago Society of Association Executives, the Fountaindale Public Library District, and Recovery, Inc.
