Biography of Breana Hernandez, CFRE
Breana Hernandez (she/her) is a mission-centric professional who is skilled in nonprofit fundraising, relationship building, and strategic writing. Breana has created and implemented various fund development plans that have raised millions for local and national nonprofits. She has collaborated with highly regarded teams at organizations including the American Lung Association, the National Museum of Mexican Art, and Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis.
Prior to joining the Executive Service Corps, Breana engaged philanthropic leaders to advance arts education for Chicago Public Schools students on behalf of Ingenuity. She brings an impact-oriented approach to strengthening and building meaningful partnerships between ESC and grantmaking stakeholders.
Breana is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a globally recognized certification for fundraising professionals that is based on ethical best practices and principles. She earned a master’s in nonprofit administration from Lindenwood University and a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University, where she studied psychology and criminal justice.
In 2022, Breana joined the Executive Service Corps team as the Vice President of Grants. The Executive Service Corps engages highly trained professionals who use their time and expertise to provide nonprofits with the consulting services they need to be successful." To achieve our mission, we provide consulting, coaching, and professional services to nonprofit organizations impacting millions of people each year. Breana went through the Executive Service Corps’ extensive diversity, equity, and inclusion training. She also completed executive coaching training.
